About Rib Rack

When wandering through the bustling avenues of Philadelphia, a venture down Tyson Ave leads to a delightful discovery—an unassuming gem known as Rib Rack. Boasting a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere, Rib Rack captures hearts with its soul-warming aromas wafting onto the street, beckoning locals and visitors alike to take a closer look.

Upon stepping inside, a sense of welcoming envelops patrons. The rustic interior sets a comfortable scene, every detail meticulously curated to make diners feel like part of the family. Conversations flow effortlessly, perhaps fueled by the mouthwatering anticipation of what’s to come. A quick glance around and it’s evident; this place vibrates with an energy only great food and company can create.

Now, let's dive into the star of the show—the menu. Rib Rack prides itself on classic American BBQ fare. The prime offering, as the name suggests, is ribs. These aren’t just any ribs; they fall off the bone, succulent and perfectly smoked, boasting that elusive balance of savory and sweet which many aspire to but few truly master. The sauce smothers each bite with a gently lingering heat, leaving an itch for more.

Beyond the ribs, a diverse selection begs exploration. Picture this: tender brisket, lovingly smoked to perfection, or perhaps a pulled pork sandwich piled with fresh slaw, every bite a harmonious crunch of textures. For those seeking something lighter, salads with hearty portions of grilled chicken or shrimp dance elegantly on the taste buds, each ingredient fresh and vibrant.

Of course, no BBQ feast is complete without sides. Rib Rack excels here too, with classics like baked beans, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, each crafted with a hint of nostalgia mixed with modern flair. Don’t forget to end on a sweet note—homemade pies and cobblers that feel like a warm hug, each bite a cherished memory revived.

Location certainly adds to the allure of Rib Rack. Nestled conveniently at 2100 Tyson Ave, it's easy to find yet feels like a secret haven for those in the know. It's a community hub where stories are shared, and new ones begin.

As for what fellow diners have to say, a chorus of praise fills the air. The consensus? Delightful. Many speak of the friendly service, where staff seem genuinely delighted to share the Rib Rack experience. It’s the kind of place that compels you to linger just a little longer, savoring not just the food, but the warmth and camaraderie that define this charming spot.

An exploration of Rib Rack is more than just a dining experience. It’s an immersion into a world where the love for food and fellowship takes center stage, making it a must-visit for anyone passing through Philadelphia.

This little spot has some good barbecue! Both the barbecue ribs and the barbecue chicken are soooo good. The ribs (although small) just fall right off the bone and are seasoned to perfection. I wasn't crazy over the sides but the baked beans are decent and the Mac and cheese wasn't bad either. So far, this is the best barbecue I've had while in Philly

For over 20 years, I have been a loyal patron of this restaurant , and I still crave their exceptional grilled BBQ ribs and chicken. The dishes are consistently delicious, tender, and juicy, with prices that are very reasonable.

This place has been my favorite BBQ food spot since I was a kid. The BEST ribs, best wings, best cornbread!! Also love the steak fries. When I was a kid, about 8 or so, I had a horrible sore throat. I love the wings so much that I powered through them even though the sauce was burning my throat even more 🤣 I could not let them go to waste. Oh & they have the BEST blue cheese. Thank you for being a childhood staple of mine & for sticking around all these years. I just had a child of my own & hope to bring him here one day. Showed my Jersey boyfriend this place & he devoured his plate of ribs & wings. Said it was fantastic. I dont care if the parking situation is kind of difficult. I'd park 10 blocks away & walk just to get this delicious food! Keep up the great work! 💗

I have been coming here for almost 25 years. The food is exceptional! We drive over 45 minutes for the ribs. It's always a struggle choosing between bbq chicken, beef, or pork ribs. So we usually get some of each! Coming to RibRack, I know I won't be disappointed paying for food that wasnt good.

Not the best in the city but my secondary go to for BBQ ribs. Can be slightly burnt sometimes but acceptable, I'd recommend when you need a substitute for your primary rib stop.

The ribs are banging! It's a tad expensive, but it's enough food for leftovers 😋 Even cold, right outta the fridge the next day, they don't lose anything and I'm not really a leftover kinda person

This place got everything right (foodand service)! Can't wait to go back! Both pork and beef ribs were perfect. I also enjoyed the wings and that it's byob.
